Concerns about cancers that especially affect women were the topic of
the 2nd Annual Health Breakfast, May 15 at the Williamsburg Crowne Plaza
sponsored by the Greater Williamsburg Women's Association.  The topics
ranged from breast cancer to cervical and ovarian cancers and
appropriate screenings for all.  Physicians from PICH, Peninsula
Institute for Community Health:  Drs. Renee Delahoussaye, Nilda Arte,
Daynelle Dedmond and RN, Katrina White were panelists for the
programming.  Nurse Practitioner Barbara Haywood emphasized the
importance  and wisdom of taking sometimes painful tests on a yearly
basis.

Barbara Harris reviewed the book, "Henrietta Lack, Immortal Cells"
recently covered by both the "CBS Sunday Morning Show" and "60 Minutes",
which focused on the recent involvement of Johns Hopkins Hospital and
the unauthorized use of the cells of Mrs. Lack who died of cancer.  Over
200 women were in attendance.
